HEART TO HEART: A Women's Yoga Adventure
Your yoga adventure connects you to the hearts of local Mayan women doing Mayan 
massage at the Jungle Spa of the non-profit, Lu'um K'aa Nab. Daily yoga will be done with Mayan women who started to learn yoga from Charlene, Director of Blue Bee Odysseys, in October, 2008. Open your hearts to these beautiful women, and return home renewed and connected to your natural rhythms.
YOGA ADVENTURE HIGHLIGHTS
- Develop a deeper understanding of the Mayan culture, history and language from the women of Lu'um K'aa Nab..
- Explore the Mayan myths of Ixchel, Goddess of healing. What is Ixchel telling us today? The local women have a Mayan chant, "Teene' quin u'uyic a d'aan, Ixchel." In English, "I hear you calling, Ixchel."
- Nurture yourself at the Jungle Spa of Lu'um K'aa Nab where local women practice the ancient art of Mayan massage. Other spa treatments are also available.
- Experience deep relaxation and renewal with daily yoga for all levels of experience.
- Explore Mayan ancient archeological sites. (Optional on a free day) Tulum and Coba are a 1 hour drive.
- Learn how to make tamales and savor Mayan cuisine
- Participate in a Mayan art class.
- Swim and snorkel in the beautiful Caribbean.
Lu'um K'aa Nab was created 12 years ago by Sandra Dayton and friends to protect the natural resources and culture of the Puerto Morelos region. It rests on 2&1/2 acres of land within the rich ecosystem of the Yucatan jungle. It provides space for the Jungle Spa and Jungle Market where local Mayan women are now empowering themselves with their skilled spa treatments and lovely crafts. The women of Lu'um K'aa Nab embarked on personal journeys that began in small Mayan villages. When they were born, a mid-wife massaged them out of their mother's belly. They were massaged during infancy and at 7 or 8 years old, they were taught to massage their parent's tired bodies after coming home from working in the cornfields. The story of their journey to empowerment is inspiring. The deep relaxation and healing experienced from the ancient art of Mayan massage is profound.
LODGING
Casa Del Mar, a beautiful 2 bedroom/2bath condo complex on the beach 
near the fishing village of Puerto Morelos, MX, a 30 minute drive south of Cancun, MX. The five condos share a pool and each has a patio overlooking the ocean. A peaceful 40 minute beach walk will take you to the charming cafes and shops of Puerto Morelos.
Alternative lodging can also be arranged at at Casa Cacahaute B&B. It is located in the jungle, about 3 miles from Casa Del Mar. Casa Cacahaute is owned by Sandra and Daniel Dayton. The Jungle Spa is adjacent to the B&B. Beautiful birds are abundant in the jungle as well as monkeys and deer. You can take a bus, walk, or taxi to Puerto Morelos.
